Lavazza was founded in Turin, Italy, back in 1895, and today it is one of the world's most recognized coffee brands. Why specifically La Reserva de ¡Tierra! Bio-Organic
From Lavazza's wide selection, we consciously chose the bio-organic blend. This means the coffee is grown without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and it is certified according to strict standards – Rainforest Alliance, USDA Organic, and EU organic certification.
This is important to us for two reasons: a cleaner, fairer taste in the cup, and care for the environment and the people who grow the coffee. This is the same philosophy as in our kitchen – from the best, responsibly sourced products.
¡Tierra! – coffee that supports people
The ¡Tierra! in the name is not just a pretty word. It is Lavazza Foundation's sustainability program, launched in 2002, which today supports coffee-growing communities across several continents. Our Humeco blend comes from Honduras regions – Copán, Ocotepeque, and Lempira – where the program assists over 1000 coffee farming families with training, improved agricultural methods, and resilience to climate change.
This means that every cup you enjoy with us is a small connection to people on the other side of the world for whom this coffee is their livelihood.
